What is the DIY Bridal Academy ?


The DIY Bridal Academy was established to provide engaged brides the opportunity to de-stress and nullify their frustrations related to wedding planning, fears regarding wedding expenses, and the theory that there is no room in their budget for a wedding planner. This virtual intensive serves as a comprehensive resource for those unable to hire a full service planner or are nervous about their friend or family member actually knowing what to do on their special day!




What curriculum is covered during the DIY Bridal Academy?


  • Week 1: Setting Your Wedding Budget & Guest Management
  • Week 2: Venue Selection & Vendor Management
  • Week 3: DIY Dos & Don'ts/Styling Me Pretty-(Event Styling Tips for Weddings)
  • Week 4: Wedding Day Logistics Management (Timelines, Timelines, Timelines)




What is the DIY Bridal Academy course schedule?


Each week will be themed around a topic from the set curriculum. A typical week in the DIY Bridal Academy will consist of:

  • Live Q&A sessions
  • Live course instruction with Certified Wedding Planner/DIY Influencer
  • Coursework and actionable Resource Guide tasks (yes, there will be homework!)
  • Return demonstration, task review, and feedback from Certified Wedding Planner




What are the requirements to join and be admitted into the DIY Bridal Academy?


  • Be engaged (no wedding date set yet... it's ok!)
  • Be ready to learn (we will cover a great deal of information and we want you get the glean as much as possible!)
  • Be ready to share (share your thoughts and fears of wedding planning and any questions you have; we will be ready to provide answers and advice!)




What course materials are required for the DIY Bridal Academy?


Each participant will receive tools and a resource guide including, but not limited to, ceremony and reception seating guidelines, venue and vendor questionnaires, budget worksheets, DIY wedding craft templates, etiquette resource guides, and a timeline template.




How much are tuition and fees?


The investment is a one-time fee of $250. Yep, that's right our goal is to provide knowledge for the budget conscious bride to provide professional instruction and expertise, while not breaking the bank! Curriculum instruction and all course materials are included in the fees. Those enrollees who attend and complete all instructional coursework will also receive a one-on-one ONE hour wedding coaching session with one of our certified wedding planners!




How are courses taught?


All curriculum instruction is online. A PC or Mac based computer is recommended to complete coursework. However, using a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, for accessing Q&A sessions and LIVE course instruction is feasible.




When does the next enrollment class begain?


The next enrollment class begins on February 4th. Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis with completion of DIY Bridal Academy registration and tuition fees.
